Would you like to set yourself a fitness challenge this August and raise funds for refugees and asylum seekers in the North East?
Action Foundation is launching a summer step challenge called Step Up for Refugees that we hope will appeal to everyone.
You can set your own daily number of steps between 8,000 and 15,000 per day for the whole month of August (or even 20,000 if you’re super fit) and get sponsored to complete your challenge by August 31st.
And don’t worry if on some days you don’t reach your daily target. You can add on the steps you ought to have completed that day on another day or over the weekend.
Enjoy your walking
Taking on the Step Up for Refugees Challenge is a really nice way to fundraise. You can walk solo, or why not get a friend to join in too – or even set up a whole team of steppers either at work or in your community group?
All you’ll need is something to record your steps – you can use your smartphone, a fitness tracker or a simple pedometer.
And it’s so easy to set up your fundraising page. Simply click here to set up your online fundraising page and start sharing your link with potential sponsors. We’re asking people to set a target of £100 – all the money you raise will support Action Foundation’s work with refugees and asylum seekers in the North East.
Anything you’re not sure about? We’re always happy to chat and answer any questions you may have. Please get in touch with [email protected] and we will get back to you.
Good luck in your Step Up for Refugees challenge – we hope it makes you feel fitter and more energised! Every step you take will show our beneficiaries that they’ll never walk alone.
