While many of us are counting down to the holidays, refugees and asylum seekers across the North East are facing winter with very little.

This season of giving, could you spread some festive joy by fundraising for us, helping bring safety, community and hope to those who need it most?

We’re inviting everyone to direct their fundraising to our Winter Campaign and every donation will be match-funded by Aviva up to £250, doubling the impact of your support.

Here are some festive ideas to get you started: Host a festive bake sale, organise a Christmas jumper day, take part in a carol service, join a festive fun run or winter challenge or hold a Christmas raffle to raise funds.🎁

Are you ready to lace up your running shoes and take on an incredible challenge? On September 13th, 2025, #TeamActionFoundation will be hitting the ground running to raise vital funds for our work supporting refugees and asylum seekers in the North East.

Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner or just starting out, we’d love for you to join us! We ask for a registration fee of £68.50, which helps cover part of the cost we incur to secure each runner’s place. We also ask that all participants aim to fundraise £350. Every pound you raise beyond the registration cost will go directly toward supporting the life-changing work we do with refugees and asylum seekers.
