Students from St. Chad’s College, one of the oldest colleges at the University of Durham, will be fundraising for Action Foundation through their annual Charity Fashion Show.

A longstanding tradition, the St. Chad’s College Fashion Show is organised by the students of St. Chad’s through their charity committee. Each year, they select a local charity in the North East to support.

The show is an offshoot of the Durham University Charity Fashion Show (DUCFS), Europe’s largest student-led fundraiser, which has been active for over 40 years.

Ellen Revell, President of the SCCCFS24 said:

“Our decision was made easy when we found Action Foundation. Their local migrant community work was extremely captivating and necessary. We hope to further support the amazing work they are doing to help so many lives.”

Some of St. Chad’s previous pre-fashion show fundraising successes have included bingo nights, charity auctions and sponsorships from brands such as Black Sheep Brewery and Rhimani Jewellery. This year, they have exciting plans already underway for salsa dancing lessons and fun runs.

Last Year’s Runway

Shakespearean Theme

The theme for 2024 is Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, perfectly suited for the anticipated June runway. All outfits are handmade and donated from designers in the region, providing them a platform to showcase their work. St. Chad’s students model these creations accompanied by comperes providing live commentary and hosting.

In addition to the catwalk, the event will feature comedy, dancing, themed drinks, and live music.

Prepare for a night of fun, fashion and fundraising this June. Details of how to book a ticket or a table will follow.
