Tell us a bit about yourself

I am born and bred in County Durham where I currently live. My hobbies include getting out and about and taking pictures on my camera and listening to new genres of music from Afrobeat to Japanese City Pop. I also enjoying cooking vegetarian food.

What’s your career background?

My background is working in visitor experience and fundraising for a culture and heritage organisation in County Durham. I studied BA History and MA International Politics at university. During my time at university, I was a member of a student campaigning organisation People and Planet, focused on raising awareness of the issues facing international & migrant students on campus during the Covid-19 pandemic and developing a fundraising plan.

What’s your new role?

As Digital Fundraising Support Officer I will assist in the donation and grants process and aid in communications.

What drew you to apply for a job at Action Foundation?

I was drawn to Action Foundation because of their work in empowering refugees. I want to use my experience in fundraising to work for an amazing charity that really makes a difference in people’s lives.
