In response to the latest lockdown announcement from the Government, from Thursday 5th November Action Foundation are adapting the delivery of our projects that we have outlined below in this Q+A.
In general terms we are approaching this lockdown differently to the one in March. This is because of its expected duration, but also because we’ve been able to develop our systems significantly since then, enabling us to operate in a Covid safe way that fits within the latest Government guidelines.
By implementing the below we are hoping to:
a) Minimise the number of staff in our offices and connecting with clients
b) Maintain support for our clients both face to face and remotely
c) Stay flexible and adaptable to any ongoing changes
What are the changes?
If you use our services…
Can I still come to talk to someone at CastleGate?
The building will be open for the InterAction drop-in on Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am-2pm. Please note spaces will be limited so you may have to queue outside.
If you have an appointment with one of the staff outside of the Drop-in please wait outside the front glass doors at your appointment time and they will come down to let you in.
Are English Classes still running on Zoom?
Yes, English Classes are not changing during this lockdown
Will I still see my support worker?
Your support worker will be in contact with you to make arrangements to continue your support remotely.
What if I need help and don’t know who to ask?
You can contact InterAction on this number 07826 266 630, Or if your query is about English Language classes please use this number 07518 460 198
If you are an Action Foundation volunteer…
I delivered food parcels in the last lockdown can I help again?
We aren’t operating in quite the same way as we did last time, so we aren’t seeking extra volunteers at this point.
I volunteer with English classes and the Drop-in, will I keep doing them?
If you are currently volunteering please direct any specific questions to the project staff as it depends on the project and changes will continue to happen as we adapt to the ongoing Government guidance.
I want to start volunteering, can I get involved?
You can still register to volunteer at Action Foundation by using this link, however, we’re especially busy at the moment so don’t be worried if it takes a few weeks for us to process your application.
