Senior Support Worker

Apply now if you have the experience and passion for helping vulnerable adults overcome their homelessness, isolation, exclusion and poverty and are ready to lead a team of dedicated support workers to help make positive changes.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Support Worker to assist the Project Manager in the day-to-day running of Action Foundation’s award-winning housing projects. The successful candidate will manage a client caseload including providing advice and guidance on their asylum claims, sharing on-call duties and deputising in the absence of the Project Manager. With experience of working with vulnerable adults and a good knowledge of the welfare and asylum systems, you will lead a team of four support workers, monitoring and reporting on key objectives and outcomes.

It is essential that you have good organisational and communication skills and can use your own initiative to solve problems and to achieve targets. The successful candidate will also be supportive of the ethos and values of Action Foundation (see actionfoundation.org.uk/ethos)

Celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2019, Action Foundation was established to assist asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants in Tyne and Wear with supported housing and community ESOL classes.
